Zooomr to Move Into Photo Sales
Posted By Scott Baradell On March 19, 2007 @ 4:06 pm In Stock Art and Photography | 1 Comment
It’s been predicted for some time that Flickr would move into the stock photo business . But it looks like upstart Zooomr has beaten them to it.
From Webware :
Zooomr will keep 10 percent of revenue from photo sales, the company said on its blog, letting users keep 90 percent. For comparison, iStockphoto keeps 80 percent, unless users sign an exclusivity agreement under which the company keeps 60 percent. Getty also acquired journalism-oriented Scoopt this month, a site that splits revenue 50-50.
Zooomr has run into a few problems upgrading to add this new capability and others, but the relaunch is expected any day now. In the meantime, here’s a preview of some of the new Zooomr features .
