This year’s sold-old Photoshop World Conference & Expo runs from April 3 to 6 in Boston. The much-anticipated CS3 will surely be the most popular topic of discussion. To answer photographers’ questions, O’Reilly Media has announced that it will host many of its own bestselling photography authors at the expo. Said O’Reilly’s digital media evangelist, Derrick Story:
With the release of CS3, many photographers are wondering if they should stick with the Bridge workflow and all of its new enhancements, or consider Adobe Lightroom to manage their photography workflow. I’m going to help answer that question by taking visitors to the O’Reilly booth on an accelerated exploration into Lightroom and its benefits for photographers. It’s going to be fun.
A highlight of the conference should be "The Art of Digital Photography," where, according to conference organizers, "some of the world’s leading digital photographers come together, on one stage, for an evening that you’ll be talking about for years."
A new feature of Photoshop World will be professional portfolio reviews, where world-class photographers will look at the portfolios of individual attendees and provide tips on better showcasing their work.
The 2007 Photoshop World marks the first-ever sellout for the East Coast conference, said Scott Kelby , conference technical chair and editor-in-chief of Photoshop User magazine.
