I was on the other side of the fence on starting a business. I always wanted to start a business but had to find a job for the meantime. But I think the biggest fear that people have of going into business for themselves is the fear of failure. Sure, there is a possibility of failure but what's the worst case scenario. You get another job. Most people are more afraid of the fear of failing, than failing itself. I think you did it right, starting your wedding photo biz on the side first. I think you make some Great points in your blog about planning. It is very important. When I decided to start my business(which I knew nothing about, unlike you) I had list upon list on what to do. I think I actually made a list of all the lists I had. I don't know if you thought about it or not, but I would suggest marketing yourself to others that have an interest in photography. Maybe offer private lessons or a group workshop of some type. It might help out alittle bit. I thought of it while I was reading your post and thought I would give you my two cents. Two years after having an "official business" I'm just about out of the red. No matter what just believe in your work and believe in yourself, and the rest will fall in to place.
