Photographers will soon be able to file copyright registrations quickly and inexpensively thanks to the new Electronic Copyright Office (eCO) [2], which enters its beta period on July 2.

The benefits of eCO will include:

  • A lower filing fee ($35 for a basic claim)
  • Faster processing time
  • Earlier effective registration date
  • Online status tracking
  • Online payment options

If you’d like to be a beta tester [3], you can apply with this online form [4].
