In this month’s post, I answer the following question submitted by a Black Star Rising reader: “As a freelance photographer, should I be cold-calling prospective clients in this economy — and if so, how should I go about it?”

I like the funnel analogy, its a good thing to keep in mind when you're building up your photography business. I also like the "ask advice" angle that makes the cold calling not seem so daunting, or marketing ish.

Cold call can also help for marketing your business. But sometimes is not good, make cold call at good hours not on the point that you will disturbed those prospecting clients.

You bet your sweet bippy it's a good time to cold call. It's *always* a good time to cold call.
I work primarily in website development, and I blend photography into the job when the client requires it. What I've gotten through cold calling are the most lucrative clients I've ever had.

Love this post. Maybe another post about the steps on what to say on a cold call?
If I may be so bold to say, your more engaging when you smile
Maybe you had a long day?
